The book states, “As African Americans, we are a success”! From the time that we were taken as slaves from Africa, we have overcome a great many obstacles and did achieve. I was thoroughly impressed by this book! The profiles of the many prominent African/Caribbean Americans a true cross section of people from truly diverse setting. This is awesome, a mind blower as it were, Thank you Beatryce Nivens for this important book.
